He seems to have died while his children were small. John settled in the same vicinity as Thomas, but lived until about 1830."

Source # 5, # 0015; "Noted to be founder of Listonburg, Pennsylvania. After founding and living in Listonburg, he later settled with other family members in Preston County, West Virginia. He died on 19 November 1830. John's gravestone stands at the Cress Cemetary, Preston County, and reads as follows: "Dath is a Dat to Natur due that i have paid and so must you."
