3. 1900 Federal Census, Preston County W.Va., ED 105, Sheet 7B, Line 68.OTHER INFORMATION:
The following is added on August 6, 1994. Recent research has revealed a possible change of information. A copy of a list of births in Preston County, West Virginia, in 1881, which was recorded later listed William's mother as Sarah Bishop, in the column for mother, maiden name. Then an entry later shows a Sarah Bishoff marrying a William Kennell in Preston county. The ages of Sarah are so close and the location right. I am researching this now. Have ordered the Social Security records for William and the birth certificate, if available. Will be anxious to see this information.
Birth certificate, received October 1994, was certified later in William's life, shows spouse as Margaret Catharine Teets and lists mother as Sarah, no father listed. This is still a puzzle.
July 18, 2002: Traveled to National Archives in Pittsfield, MA. 1900 Census shows mother as Sarah Bishoff, no father listed.
